The atrocities of apartheid, its demise and reconciliation and a peaceful co existence could best be brought into sharp focus when presented in a conversational form hence the adaptation to a drama in 2024. It covers the period 15 December 1965-16 December, 1997 at Jack Botes Hall, Polokwane, at the wedding of Dr. Mvuno Nkosi-who escaped death on Domineee Van Tonder’s farm in 1965- and Matron Magda Van Tonder, who in 1965 was sharply rebuked and vilified for going to bed with a kaffer manikin. The music played at the ceremony was the boere-orkes and P.J. Powers”I feel so strong”. there was also a rendition of “Swiela ngwanyana” by the Groothoek Nurses choir.
